next step in getting healthier :)

"Never enough, I won't stop til I drop, I won't rest til I'm best :D "
Okay that was cheesy....and I just made that up. I probably had too many bananas. But if I ever were to record a song, this shall be the title. I can't sing though, so it is unlikely. And I am not funny, so I will never do any comedy on YouTube either...or talk.

My health as of April 2013

Like I posted before. I wiped out a couple more health problems the past couple of months. If you don't believe in the power of diet and herbal medicine, take a look and start believing.
I am not done yet though.
One problem I have not tackled, because I am so used to it: I have digestive issues.
Been having more noticeable problems since I was 16. That is almost half my life! Nothing crazy like violent diarrhea (eeek!), but stomach cramps, pains in my intestines and now also bloating.

I sort of have an idea what could be causing it. But I will need to see a specialist too. I can not self treat this, not knowing what is going on inside.
My experiences with doctors looking into my digestive issues were bad. Really bad. My problem was never taken seriously or looked at really.

My suspicion: It started with a sensitivity to certain foods, likely Gluten rich foods. My gut and digestive tract suffered damage. Then I changed my diet and cut out foods my body was used to, and it is simply lacking the bacteria and enzymes to digest these foods. Hormonal imbalances can worsen digestive problems.
I have no problem with meat, but veggies are a big problem and fruits are not the easiest thing to digest either. I get bloated, then it moves through my intestines which hurts, and then things are pretty much normal.

I have ordered Probiotics also. Probiotics can help with the following:
-maintain normal beneficial intestinal microflora
-supports healthy intestinal function
-enhances weight management
-improves nutrients absorption

One might need Probiotics after having been treated with antibiotics. Especially repeated use can cause your gut  flora to be out of balance. Hormones in pregnancy also affect digestion to adjust to the needs of a growing fetus. My bloating has been much worse since pregnancy.

Last but not least, I think I will eventually also do some deworming. Human parasites are more common than you think, and if you have unexplained problems to gain weight and thrive, it is worth giving this a try.

About parasites:
Parasites are the HIDDEN DISEASE, they can occur ANYWHERE in the body, in EVERY organ, in ALL tissues, and in the blood. Parasites can cause problems that mimic other disorders and are not diagnosed as being parasite related.
Not only do they cause harm by taking nutrients away from their host, they also produce toxic waste (from their excrement and death cycles) that affects the human body including the central nervous system.
From https://humaworm.com/symptoms.html

Parasites are ingested through foods. So it is a possibility for everyone.

Tomorrow is my doctors appointment and I sure hope this doctor will be helpful. Too often doctors only look at the conventional problems.

  1. So sorry you are suffering from this! I come from a long line of digestive issue plagued people, it can be a rough one to control. Take care of yourself :)

  2. Eli
thank you! I am certainly glad I learned so much about diet and what does and does not affect me. I am positive that I will be able to normalize things eventually, since my problems are not as severe and worsened by things like hormones. :)

  3. Parasite eggs are routinely breathed in too. The parasites insert themselves through our skin too. They are ubiquitous. We can never totally eliminate them. But at least we can get rid of the bad ones causing problems. Good luck!

  4. Thank you for explaining Good Samaritan! Since I have never done a parasite cleanse, I think it will prove to be pretty beneficial.
