It was the last era in which long, flowing gowns and very long hair was popular.
Movies like Titanic or Mary Poppins or the show Downton Abbey take place during this romantic time, bordering industrialism.
This hair do is based on actual instructions from that Era. However, they are a bit vague and have been interpreted many ways. In the Video I will be showing you one of the most popular ways of doing it first. But anyone that is familiar with different bun styles, might notice that is looks much like an oval cinnamon bun. Not necessarily like something new!
While trying to figure out the instructions, I came up with one idea that creates a bun that looks pretty similar to the original, and it is very easy to do, without any pins or hair pieces.
I started the Video with an old look to it, that will fade into a normal color video.
If you would like to see more past elegance hair do's, I know a few more from different time periods (Regency, Victorian, Renaissance, Medieval, Edwardian). But because I am unsure if these type of hair do's are generally liked, I haven't posted much yet. So please let me know if you would like to see any in the future! :)
